Summer is here??

So I've been really busy lately...and it's hard to write all that has been going on.

The last time I wrote it was like spring was taking it's time...now it seems like summer has arrived early...not much spring to speak of. Went from winter to summer in about a week.
So the rocks are sharp and there is no mud to speak of left...the feet are hardening up and of course an abscess for Veggie happened. RF foot...the problem child! :)
On the other hand I have started him in the round ring and doing more 'yoga' stretching in the form of static and moving stretches. I'll take some pics now and video and later as well to see how the body can change with a little proper 'dressage'.

He's taking him time to shed out though. The others are almost through and he's still hanging on to his first real winter coat. Yesterday he really blew a lot of it off so he's a little later but it's starting now.

As I said at the beginning of all of this...I didn't want to take him and keep him forever. I can't collect horses (although I probably would if I could ;) but I've been keeping my mind open to the possibility of Veggie going to another home for the summer. I think I have found the perfect place for him and the perfect people also. People who will love him and continue with his present day lifestyle, diet and trim and also start to trail ride with him and work with him more.
I'll keep you informed on that front too.

So this is just a little note to say I haven't forgotton...but I've been so busy and dial up is just killing me!! :)

Oh...remember those shoes.?? I cleaned Veggies feet and tried to place them on to check for size...etc. He had a bit of a panic attack. Poor buddy. He was really really trying to convince me NOT to put those shoes on his feet....so I let it be for a while. I'll try again later...and take pics.
He was very upset and scared...and it was only after I touched the metal to his foot...like he sensed it and wanted no part of that again. I did make him a promise that metal wouldn't touch his feet again...but I didn't think he'd take it so literally. :)
