Time flies

So lots has happened on the Veggie front.

I found a new home for him to continue his recovery and to put him to a bit more one on one human companionship and friendship. He will belong to a 9 year old girl...who he has met and who loves him dearly. He'll be brushed and groomed and be able to live out with a herd on the side of a beautiful mountain in Quebec. I'm sure he'll be very happy. This little girl even rode him in the round pen and will continue to ride him at her place...first in the round ring and then maybe on trails with his booties. He will go to his new place in July. That's less than one year here at my place.

He is totally 'out of the woods' so to speak...and has plenty more good days than 'off' days.

His feet are getting great...his body is getting better all the time.

I finished fencing about 10 more acres of my land for the horses. They are loving the added extra space and grasses to eat too. Veggie 'pulled' a muscle in his Left knee, I think from all the extra 'fun' and running he is doing in the big field...but he is having to fully weight that RF foot and it's doing wonders for it. Everything happens for a reason.

Here are some updated pics...He still has not fully shed out. He never really had a super winter coat to shed out before...and he only just got it all together in January so he's keeping his 'vest' on for a while. The bugs started this year...black flied and mosquitoes are horrid...but he's not complaining. He is really a happy camper these days. NO NO NO aggression left in him...none of the 'old Vegas' coming out. He's confident and secure in his place. I'm so proud of him and hope he does well where he will go. Of course it's close enough so I can come help if needed.

I will post more pics of feet...etc...later... We are actually expecting high speed internet this summer. I can't wait!! Dial up is not much fun!
